When Jesus arrives, He does not merely offer moral teaching or religious inspiration. He announces that the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. In Matthew 4:17–5:20, we see that the coming of the King changes everything. Jesus calls people to repent, to follow Him, and to live as citizens of His Kingdom. He shows what the Kingdom is about through His victory over sin, sickness, and the powers of darkness, revealing Himself as the rightful and victorious King. In this sermon, we explore what life looks like when the King has truly arrived. We ask who belongs to this Kingdom, what the Kingdom is about, and how Kingdom citizens are to live.
