As we celebrate Advent this season, we are reminded not to see Jesus only as a child, but to recognize His fatherly care toward all who belong to Him. We are called to submit ourselves to His loving protection and guidance through His Word, through His Spirit, and through His people. In this sermon, we return to the prophecy of Isaiah 9:6 and are reminded of Jesus as the Everlasting Father—revealed in prophecy, displayed as the Fatherly King of yesterday, and present as the Fatherly King today.
